As I already have slipped and fallen on my butt, the cold season is creeping in.

With that, I got to do the window display for The Red Door Gallery!

Hello sweet peopleeees, we are getting way closer to the 250 likes on facebook! Thank you guys so much!  The new news is that besides the A5 illustration commission from me, I will also be giving one person all 4 of the new comics that I made for the International Book Festival in Edinburgh! Here is one of them:

Things just keep getting sillier and I had a breakthrough in my study proposal today so here are 2 comics! The last one will be posted tomorrow with some more news concerning winning more stuff!

Sorry for not posting yesterday but I did a hill walk for 6 hours and was gone pretty much the entire day, work hard play hard ey? Scotland is amazing people.

I do not really think that these 2 comics are all that so here is a drawing I made for a project of last week, these 2 little guys are a male and female Tiger Moth Elk. Because obviously.

I was going through some old work and was surprised by my own brain, I had completely forgotten about these comics and I still think they are hilarious. They might make no sense to you but this is what's up:

How did the flower end up on the pancake?

I do have this affinity of trying to answer odd questions, explanations that make no sense themselves on how this oddity came to be. There are 11 and I will post one every day for the next 11 days.

Other news; and something to win! I have decided I want to reach for the stars and try and get 250 likes on facebook. Would you like to help me? I will be giving away a free commission for an A5 illustration among the people that share my work on facebook or are one of the new likers. So some news, on the 17th (this saturday) I will be at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the amazing Vivian French is letting me tag along with her again! Tickets are sold out but I just wanted to let you guys know.

Furthermore, Cat O'Neil who was an artist in residence at ECA this past year asked me if I was interested in selling comics at Stripped, a 2 day comic book festival at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, so right now I am working hard on 4 different mini comics about my beloved dinosaurs.

So in the weekend of the 24th and 25th of August, go check Stripped out! I will not be there because I will be in the Netherlands celebrating my dad's 60th birthday (you go old man!), but there will be all of the awesome people so go check it out!

The finished version for Sophie's birthday, not a lot of byro pen.

I made my wonderful flatmate Sophie an illustration for her birthday, and here are the steps I take when I work with watercolor and masking fluid, I will post the finished version tomrrow, but the 3rd image is what it looks like before I attack paper with byro. The white spots (stars) is acrylics.

You know you had a productive day when you make 3 complete different things (I hate having acrylics leftovers so I abused my white notebook, expressive no?).

Best day ever! I had to get up at 6 but the weather was nice and the 2 and a half an hour bus ride was through beautiful Scotland to Melrose! I have suffered worse. Meeted by Vivian French I got to draw for a tent full of children on a stage! Viv was awesome and wrapped the kids around her finger and together they made up a wonderful story, afterwards one class of kids asked me if I could draw monsters and zombies in the books they bought from Viv, it was adorbs. I'll be making some sketches with the story and post it soon! Happy Hannah out!
